Groundnut is fundamentally a member of the legume family. It is believed to have been initially domesticated and cultivated in the valleys of Paraguay.. In India, groundnut exporters are shipping large quantities of this crop to numerous countries worldwide. The export of groundnuts from India has seen a steady rise over the years, likely driven by the growing global demand for this product. In the fiscal year 2018-19, Indian exporters sent approximately 489,187.13 metric tons of groundnuts abroad. Thus, it can be concluded that groundnut export is an expanding industry.
